mi-KHwaham KHurd ta-ki jaanam bashad
mī-ḳhvāham ḳhurd tā-ki jānam bāshad
gar sūd-e-jahāñ jumla ziyānam bāshad
ai jān-e-jahāñ darīñ jahāñ ḳhush ba-zem
man kī dānam ki aañ jahānam bāshad
I shall drink as I desire to live, even if all the benefits of the world may be a loss to me; O! life of the world (beloved) I desire to live blissfully in this world, as how can I know that the next world would be mine.
