tan dar gham-e-rozgar be-dad ma-deh
tan dar ġham-e-rozgār be-dād ma-deh
jaañ rā ġham za guzishtagāñ yaad ma-deh
dil juz bar zulf-e-parī-zād ma-deh
be-bāda ma-bāsh-o-’umr barbād ma-deh
Do not give thyself up to grief for the tyranny of the times, and do not recall to memory with grief those who have long departed give thy heart only to the tresses of the fair one do not be without wine and do not ruin thy life.
